Week 6: February 5th – February 11th, 2015
“You don’t take a photograph. You make it.” Ansel Adams
The world is beautiful, with its ups and downs, with its good and bad. I picked up a camera and started to photograph people because I wanted to show them that they matter, that they are beautiful and that together we can create something amazing. When I photograph, I create and I make my dreams come to life.
Day 37: Winter is my favorite season. Right after Fall, and before Spring and Summer. The best days are the ones after a freezing night, when the trees are covered in glistening, frozen snow and everything is still and quiet.
Day 38: Radu said that I should call this photograph “Sleeping Handsome”, but I would rather call it “The Dead Man”. This is his favorite sleeping position, hands on chest and everything. After 15 years of being together, you’d thing I am used to it by now… well, I’m not! I still find it creepy, so everytime I catch him in this position, I :
- attempt to snuggle super close, so he will turn on his side, trying to get away
- put my super-cold feet on his super-hot ankles, semi-waking him up and making him turn on his side, trying to get away
- toss and turn , shaking the bed, until he, again, turns on his side, trying to get away
Do you see a pattern?
Day 39: We were getting ready for Valentine’s Day, so this year we made crayola heart shaped crayons for David’s classmates. I think both David & I were more excited about making them, then if the kids were going to actually be using them!
Day 40: We got Grandma’s super cute toques today! Needless to say, a photo was in order.
Day 41: “Now, if only I could make this banana disappear, before mom tries to take it away and cut it in small pieces. HA! Got it first!”
Day 42: David’s school celebrated Carnevale today, which, same as the Carnival of Venice, marks the beginning of Lent. David dressed up as Dottor Balanzone, a loud-mouth doctor who thinks he knows it all, and carries a big book that’s actually blank.
